A unique film in which three freelancers talk about unimportant things in a family restaurant. The fast-paced talk exchanged in a loose atmosphere is sure to generate strange laughter. Jumbo, Matsun and Mickey are three freelancers who gather at the family restaurant Big Boy at 2am. They come here night after night to catch up on their contentless conversations. The three of them and an old man eating a parfait by himself at another table...

A film on the surveillance and the control in East Germany also speaks about it - representing extreme and almost unbelievable image of a society which has acquired one super-narrative and developed a system which makes it impossible to even speak about the possibility of anything outside it.

The game-changing earrings will change your life. But Mickey is scared to get his ears pierced (‘I'm not getting carried away!’). (The story is about a young girl who gets her ears pierced. Where will you go when you get your driving licence? Jumbo thinks of a family restaurant far away (‘Will you finally get one?’). Jumbo is not happy at all.

Director Yuichi Fukuda adapted selected episodes from the original comic into an animated film. The live-action cast of Ryuta Sato, Yoshinori Okada and Takashi Tsukamoto take on the challenge of voice acting, showing a different looseness to the live-action version. Futoshi, Matsun and Mickey are three people with zero ambition. With nothing in particular to do, they just keep on dabbling in a family restaurant late at night. Their evening goes by as they engage and disengage, get excited and lose their temper, and somehow carry on a series of conversations.

There are only few of them left in the home village. In the middle of emptiness and despair the only way out is to come up with new schemes. Small change has the price of gold here. Riks ropes hobby artist friend Oskar into his hunting-business in hope of quick wealth.

Jumbo, Matsun and Mickey are still having the same loose, delusional talk in a family restaurant late at night. Tonight, they thought they would be talking nonsense again, but for some reason, they started talking about foreign countries. Do you think they're going to leave the family restaurant?
